Bethel Lutheran Church is grateful to partner with the Salisbury Novant Hospital Volunteer Department to help care for families spending long hours in the hospital’s three surgical waiting rooms and the family ICU waiting room.
During the month of January, our congregation collected three large boxes filled with snacks — including Lance crackers and cookies, Kind bars, Nature Valley granola bars, and more. In total, we gathered 600 individually wrapped snacks to bless families during stressful and emotional moments.
Following worship on February 8, 14 Bethel members formed an assembly line to prepare each snack for delivery. Every item received two labels:
•     one with Bethel’s name and address
•     one with a Bible verse offering comfort and encouragement
Once labeled, the three boxes were delivered to the hospital, where they will be shared with families who need a moment of care and kindness.
This is a meaningful and much‑needed ministry, and we are thankful for everyone who contributed. We plan to begin collecting snacks again in a couple of months.
